Temple Street in Chinatown

Address - Temple Street, Chinatown This historical street located within the Chinatown district in Singapore used to be known as the “theatre back street”, laying behind the famous Lai Chun Yuen Chinese Theatre that staged many Cantonese operas. There was also a lot of commerce that went on along the street where people would buy and sell various wares and household items. Many of the shophouses there have had their facades refurbished but still conserved. There is even a full-length wall mural depicting daily life on this street back in the olden days.
