As Moshe Safdie, founder of Safdie Architects, described it: "Unlike other mixed-use hotel and residential projects, Artyzen and The Singapore EDITION share the same site, closely integrated yet each retaining its distinct character. In our design, to accommodate the different experiences for residents and hotel guests, we created various levels of private and public recreational spaces, from the hotel's ground floor to the sky park at the residential tower's top. These spaces with different functions ensure residential privacy while also establishing a connection between people and the city." Stepping inside, the hotel is a visual feast. The white marble floors create a stunning contrast with the gold leaf-covered domed ceiling. Descending the sculptural Venetian plaster spiral staircase leads you directly to the inviting casual bar nestled in the courtyard. What truly captivated me was the sheer abundance of greenery throughout the elegant, pristine white spaces. There are dozens of plant varieties, with hundreds of fern balls suspended overhead and various tropical plants all around. It genuinely feels like an outdoor garden has seamlessly extended indoors, creating a serene and lush environment.
