Here's a rundown of my experience: Location & Accessibility 📍 The hotel boasts a prime location near Novena MRT station. Getting here from Changi Airport via MRT was a breeze, taking about 40 minutes and costing only S$2.10. The MRT station is directly within Velocity Mall, offering abundant options for dining and shopping right at your fingertips. The walk from the MRT to the hotel is a straightforward 12-minute stroll, mostly sheltered (about 80% of the way), so you're protected from the elements. You'll encounter a gentle uphill and downhill stretch. While the Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall next door is under renovation until 2027, the nearby Burmese temple adds a touch of local charm. Facilities & Service 🏨 The front desk staff were excellent – very friendly and provided a detailed introduction to the hotel. As a Marriott member, I chose the complimentary double breakfast as my welcome gift, which was a great perk! I didn't get a chance to use the third-floor swimming pool or visit the lounge (though I heard the lounge mainly offers coffee and tea, without snacks). Room Comfort & Practicality 🛏️ The room, while compact, was impeccably clean and cleverly designed. I particularly appreciated the empty space under the bed, perfect for sliding luggage out of the way and keeping the walking area clear. The bed was on the softer side, and the soundproofing was decent – though after long days of exploring, I slept soundly anyway! 😴 A nice touch was the complimentary bottled water in the mini-fridge, replenished daily. The bathroom also had a sign indicating that the tap water is drinkable, which is always convenient. Disposable slippers and toothbrushes were provided.
