Hua Yu Wee is an award winning restaurant that offers authentic affordable Singapore food! You will know once its good when you see the entire restaurant both indoor and outdoor(located at the back) I fully packed not only with middle age crowds but with alot more older folks around. Due to its traditional, authentic cuisine and a wide spread of varieties of dishes where some dishes you require to pre-order at least 3 days in advance, these old timers will flock to hua yu wee. There are free parking right in front of hua yu wee, but once parking is full, valet will take over and help you park the car so its more of a worry free experience. The valet drivers will tend to ask you for a tip so it is normally up to you guys. Generally it's about $2 - $4 a tip. We went on a Saturday dinner at 8pm and it was fully packed but surprisingly the food arrived pretty fast. Do order their chilli crab and steam fish. Because when you look around most tables have these 2 delicacies on almost every table. Their olive fried rice is also a crowd favourite. There is also a 10% discount for staff working in Singapore Airlines because if you realise the waiters are also cloth in our SIA kebaya. But of course don't except the young looking cabin crews, these are the older generation wearing the kebaya where they will be your friendly servers. And lastly, if you want to come to Hua yu Wee on a special occasion to celebrate, bring along your wine or beer bottles because Hua Yu Wee do not charge any corkage.
