National Museum Of Singapore located at 1 St Andrew's Road(near dhoby ghuat) is show casing a permanent exhibition of the past in Singapore. The exhibition tells you a story of how Singapore was even before the war in 1942. From how piracy was a serious problem in the waters around Singapore, how the pirates launched attacks on cargos or even murdered or sold the crews to slavery and even to the men who built the town where colonial administrator transported convicts from India to Singapore and how a free port to destroy the spell of the Dutch monopoly(1819-1867) and even items from the past on how the olden days where people uses tools for cooking, for war, for fishing. There is so much to do here. Give yourself approximately 2hours as there are several exhibition in the area both for adults and for kids. And as a bonus, Singaporeans who have their identification of a Singaporean nationality have free entrance!
