Water castle in The Netherland

#newyearadventure #vianasjourney This loevestein is a water castle which was built in the middle of The Netherland, where the Maas and Waal rivers came together. After almost 250 years the castle was built, it became a prison for political prisoners and one of the person that was kept here was Hugo de groot (long history, interesting to read it and to know how he escaped!). Other than this historical building in the area, I noticed there were some kind of bed and breakfast kind of place where you can stay and enjoy the experience in the area and of course there were few cafes that served hot drinks and pastries as well you can enjoy after walk around the area. Outside of the building, you may find some wild horses and cows but dont worry, they wont attack you if you dont provoke. Entrance fee for this place was about 15£ per person and you’ll get a tag (like a key shape) where you can tap on certain place in order for you to get more information of the items/ place.
