While it was bustling with people and lively during the day, the Yarra River at night exuded a gentle leisure in the silence. The lights lining the river sparkled on the water, and the cruise ship quietly gliding between them approached like a painting. While walking in the night air, the people along the river were each enjoying this time in their own way. People sitting on benches chatting, people walking along the river alone with earphones on, and tourists taking pictures with the river in the background. It was nice to see each person enjoying their own moment. I didn’t have to do anything in particular. Just walking along the river allowed me to fully feel the leisure that Melbourne’s nights offer. The moderately cool breeze, soft lights, and gentle sounds of the waves made my heart feel at ease. The night of the Yarra River wasn’t flashy, but I was able to capture more in it.
