Prasat Pram: In The Possession of Jungle

#asiatrip Prasat Pram, or Wheelchair Temple, on CoKer is another must-visit temple and one of the iconic photography spots in the area. This is a group of three square brick temples built on a common terrace, in front of which there are two buildings of the “library”, one of brick and one of laterite. This place is surrounded by a laterite wall with an entrance from the east. The two brick towers are famous for the roots of the trees, which effectively covered the entire structure, creating a stunning sight and, as already mentioned, one of the most popular places for photographing and selfies in the Koh Ker island group. This is the first place on the route around the temples, and it is recommended to arrive here early to see the morning light and/or when leaving for the evening light to take the best photos. Cloud cover can also help to get a harmonious photo here. Recent studies have not expanded the territory of the Ko Ker group in this direction, whereas they have significantly expanded it in the other three, especially in the east and North. The monument is located 800 m approximately southwest of the ave. Nan Khmau, 3,500 km directly south of the southeast turn. from Rahal. It consists of a facade of three tall brick towers, aligned horizontally and oriented precisely to the east; this group is preceded by two intermediate buildings between the library and the prasat, one of brick in the south, the other of laterite in the north. The whole of it is enclosed in a laterite fence with a height of 48 m. more than 44 m, a barely marked rectangle and in an unusual sense. This unique enclosure is bounded from the east by a transverse terrace, which is the base of an easily built gopura, of which no other traces remain. There is a trapan to the southeast of the fence. The towers on the outside are united by a common terrace and are supported by buffets, single in the side towers and, undoubtedly, double in the central tower. The basement terrace has steps to the right of the doors on the east side. The angle of the sandstone base looks to the northeast like a candid lotus profile, partially symmetrical around a strip of double thickness. The steps that stand out have simpler designs. The towers raise their exposed faces between the base in the form of a bay with five profiles and a cornice of the same type.
