Walking through this medieval old town feels like stepping back in time—cobblestone streets, charming narrow alleys, and colorful buildings straight out of a storybook. I spent hours wandering around, soaking in the history and atmosphere. Stortorget, the main square, is a must-visit, with its iconic, postcard-worthy facades. I also loved visiting the Royal Palace, where I caught the changing of the guard ceremony—such a cool experience! Beyond the history, Gamla Stan is also a paradise for food lovers. I stumbled upon a cozy café and had the best fika (Swedish coffee break) with a warm cinnamon bun. And if you're a fan of souvenirs, the little boutiques here sell the cutest handicrafts and Viking-inspired trinkets.
