I will introduce you to Seonamsa, which is loved by many people for its beautiful nature and quiet atmosphere all year round.  ⸻ 📍 Basic information on Seonamsa • Address: 450 Seonamsa-gil, Seungju-eup, Suncheon-si, Jeollanam-do • Operating hours: 08:00 ~ 17:00 every day • Admission: Free (Cultural property admission fees will be abolished from May 2023) 🏛️ History and characteristics of Seonamsa Seonamsa is said to have been founded by Ado Hwasang in the 7th year of King Seong of Baekje (529), and was renamed Seonamsa when Doseon Guksa moved to its current location in the late Silla period. It is located on the eastern foot of Jogyesan Mountain, and is known as a temple that forms the twin pillars of Korean Buddhism along with Songgwangsa Temple of the Jogye Order.   Inside the temple, there are various cultural assets preserved, including Seungseongyo (Treasure No. 400), Daeungjeon (Treasure No. 1311), and the three-story stone pagoda. In addition, the Seonamsa Seongbo Museum houses over 2,000 relics that provide a glimpse into the Buddhist culture of the Unified Silla and Goryeo periods.   🚗 Transportation and Parking Information • Public transportation: You can take a bus to Seonamsa Temple from Suncheon Station or Suncheon Bus Terminal, which runs approximately once an hour. • Parking: There is a free parking lot at the temple entrance, but large vehicles may be restricted.   ⸻ Seonamsa Temple is a beautiful temple where history and nature come together, and it is a great place to escape from everyday life and find peace of mind.
