Recommended itinerary: Enter the park around 16:30 to admire the sand sculptures and play by the lakeside beach → Watch the sunset around 18:00 → Enjoy the nighttime sand sculpture views around 19:00. Luoma Lake is a border lake between Xuzhou and Suqian, and the Suqian Beach Park is located on the east side of the lake, hence the beautiful sunset can be observed in the evening. The park's beach is made of white sand, which is soft in texture, and combined with the vast lake surface, it truly feels like being by the sea. Don't rush to leave the park after sunset; the sand sculpture park will turn on landscape lighting after dark, which is worth seeing. The scale of the sand sculptures in the park is quite large, with themes of aerospace, including Shenzhou 9, the Three-Body sand sculpture theme, as well as children's favorites like Ultraman and Transformers themes. Personally, I find the giant astronaut sand sculpture to be the most beautiful. During weekdays, some stalls and facilities in the park are not fully operational, and there is a lack of commercial activity near the scenic area, with only a few small vendors near the main entrance selling grilled sausages, stir-fried noodles, ice jelly, cold drinks, beach toys, etc. Luoma Lake anecdotes: Historically, Luoma Lake was also known as Lema Lake, Loma Lake, and Male Lake. The 'History of the Song Dynasty' records that in the fifth year of the Shaoxing era (1131), Jin troops crossed the Huai River and camped at Lema Lake in Suqian County. The 'Huai'an Prefecture Records' state that it was originally called Lama Lake, which received the waters from the Yimeng Mountains and formed a vast expanse. 'Luoma' is a homophone for 'le' (joy) and 'luo' (fall), named after the ancient Jin soldiers who once camped here.
