[Suzhou] Tongli Ancient Town, a water town that is a World Heritage Site

Tongli Ancient Town, a water town in Suzhou, China. It is one of the six great ancient towns in Jiangnan and has a history of over 1,000 years. Although it has become a tourist destination, local people still live there, washing their clothes in the river, and you can get a glimpse of how they live their lives just as they did in the past. In addition, Tongli Ancient Town is home to the garden "Recollection Garden" (pic2,3), which is registered as a World Heritage Site. Every season, there are performances of the traditional Suzhou art of "Pingdan" and special nighttime illuminations, so it's a fun place to visit no matter how many times you go. The night cityscape is also very beautiful, so I recommend staying overnight in Tongli Ancient Town.
