Learning Song Jin in Suzhou, intangible cultu

#winhkflight ral relics. Near the Pingjiang Road, there is an experience house for learning and making Song Jin. Song Jin (Song Embroidery) weaving skill is one of China’s traditional crafts. As the name implies, Song Jin is a kind of silk embroidery tapestry formed and developed in the Song Dynasty (960-1279). As Song Jin was mainly produced in Suzhou, it is also known as Song Jin in Suzhou. After the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing Dynasties (1644-1911), embroidery products produced with Song Jin skill are called "Antique-style Song Jin" or "Song-style Jin". All these products have a general designation "Song Jin". Song Jin in Suzhou is noted for its exquisite workmanship, magnificent colors, intricate patterns, and delicate textures. The brocade pays priority to the representation of the archaic and elegant taste and has retained the traditional style and characteristics of the embroidery tapestry since the Song Dynasty (960-1279). It is reputed as one of China's Three Major Silk Embroidery Styles, with the other two being Yun Jin (Cloud embroidery) in Nanjing and Shu Jin (Shu embroidery) in Sichuan.
