Shangfangshan National Forest Park, with its picturesque scenery, features the Stone Lake Stringing the Moon

Suzhou Shangfangshan National Forest Park is located within the national-level Taihu Lake Scenic Area, about 4 kilometers from the city center. As the core area of the Stone Lake Scenic Spot, it boasts unique natural resources and tourism conditions. It is known for its Wu-Yue historical sites and the pastoral scenery of the Jiangnan water towns, with a wealth of natural landscapes and cultural history. It is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction that integrates ecology, sightseeing, leisure, and science education. The park currently has 124 families, 305 genera, and 465 species of plants, with dense vegetation and lush forests, and a forest coverage rate of over 95%; it has more than 20 famous scenic spots such as the Lengjia Pagoda, Baijiaotai, Qianlong Imperial Path, Zhiping Temple, Stone Lake Thatched Cottage, Stone Buddha Temple, Fan Chengda Ancestral Hall, and Yuegong Well. There are both over 2500 years of Wu-Yue historical sites to explore and refined events of emperors, generals, scholars, and literati to discover. Combining modern ecological tourism concepts and the unique resources of the scenic area, the park has launched two major event brands, 'Flower Festival' and 'Stone Lake Stringing the Moon.' Featuring creative floral landscapes and interactive experiences with visitors, these events highlight the advantages of natural landscapes and healthy ecology. They introduce trendy technology, creative arrangements, and specialty foods to create an atmosphere of 'getting close to nature and happy family time,' satisfying tourists' comprehensive needs for sightseeing, leisure, and science education.
