Yan Family Garden is located on the bank of Wangjia Bridge, Shantang Street, Mudu Ancient Town, Suzhou City. It faces Xiangxi River and backs onto Lingyan Rock. It is one of the famous gardens in the south of the Yangtze River! It has a history of more than 400 years. The wooden foundation is made of stone, elegant and simple, with straight nanmu columns and simple and clear carvings, which has both practical and aesthetic functions. The architecture 🏘️ is grand and exquisite, and the pavilions, terraces, corridors and pavilions are well-arranged and colorful, reflecting the wisdom and art of the garden designer 🎭! In 1935, modern architectural scholar Professor Liu Dunzhen visited the garden twice and lingered there. He highly praised the layout and local treatment of Yan's Garden and believed it to be the "leader" of local gardens in Suzhou!
