Huanxiu Villa

Huanxiu Villa is located at No. 272 ​​Jingde Road, Gusu District, Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province. It was originally the site of the Jingu Garden of the Qian family during the Five Dynasties. After several changes of hands and expansions, it was renamed Huanxiu Villa, also known as Yiyu Garden, in the 29th year of the Daoguang reign of the Qing Dynasty (1847). The overall layout of Huanxiu Villa is dominated by rockery, supplemented by pools, with mountains and waters interdependent. Although the manor is small, it is extremely imposing. Huanxiu Villa is famous for its ingeniously stacked rockery, and is known as one of the "Three Wonders of Suzhou" and is also known as "Unparalleled in the World". On January 13, 1988, Huanxiu Villa was listed as the third batch of national key cultural relics protection units by the State Council. At the end of 1997, Huanxiu Villa was listed as a World Cultural Heritage by the UNESCO Heritage Committee. A must-visit place when visiting Suzhou.
