|Ke Garden, Suzhou. 🌟Highlights: Ke Garden is located at No. 48 Renmin Road, Canglang District, Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. It is the only existing academy garden in Suzhou. It is separated from Canglang Pavilion by an alley. The garden gate faces south, and the garden is separated from Canglang Pavilion by water. Ke Garden covers an area of 5,000 square meters, with a pond in the center, sparse buildings, winding corridors, clear water and trees, and a spacious courtyard. It has been repaired several times over the decades. During the reign of Emperor Yongzheng of the Qing Dynasty (1728–1731), Yin Jishan, the governor of Jiangsu, built a garden here, named "Jinshanlin". He also named it "Leshan" after the saying "The benevolent love mountains, and the wise love water". During the reign of Emperor Qianlong, a high official mistakenly thought it was a place for entertainment, and said that "entertainment is not a good thing", so it was renamed "Ke Garden". 👍Recommended: In the center of Ke Garden, there is a pond of about one acre, surrounded by rockeries, forming a landscape of mountains and water.
