2-day staycation in Suzhou—Hotel Indigo Suzhou Grand Canal

Spent a weekend in Suzhou. This time I stayed at Hotel Indigo Suzhou Grand Canal. Hotel Indigo is a brand under InterContinental Hotels Group. There are three Hotel Indigos in Suzhou, and this one is the newest. Each Hotel Indigo has a unique inspiration. Hotel Indigo Suzhou Grand Canal is inspired by the painting Prosperous Suzhou, and Hotel Indigo Shanghai on the Bund is themed around Shanghai's beach culture. Hotel Indigo Suzhou Grand Canal was designed by CCD and is shaped like a phoenix with jade feathers and gold. It is inspired by the Suzhou Ferris Wheel. In terms of location, it is located in the Jinji Lake CBD area of Suzhou Industrial Park, adjacent to the Jinji Lake 5A Scenic Area, Jinji Lake Trail, Eslite Bookstore, and Yuanrong Times Square. It is directly connected to the Suzhou Contemporary Art Museum subway station and is a 10-minute drive from Suzhou Industrial Park Railway Station. This location is great. I easily saw the sunset over Jinji Lake. When I sat on the shore, feeling the breeze and watching the sunset, I put down my camera. I wanted to enjoy the moment. The hotel also provides enough humanistic care. Two days before check-in, a staff member added me on WeChat, saying that they provide butler service to facilitate the arrangement of my room in advance and solve various problems. This is much more convenient than looking at a string of numbers in the room and worrying about how to contact the front desk. In addition, when I ordered takeout at night, the front desk would ask again, which ensured my personal safety to a certain extent. The benefits are also very sincere. I was upgraded to a deluxe king room with a terrace for free, and I could see the Ferris wheel directly. There was free afternoon tea and free drink coupons, and I could also book a city bike ride. I also received a city-limited doll, which is worth CNY 269 in the mall. The room design is relatively fashionable, with gray and green as the main theme, but there are wooden structures and embroidered partitions, which add a touch of ancient charm to the fashionable style design. I especially like the green patterned floor tiles in the bathroom. I even wrote them down and plan to use them in my own home in the future. The toiletries are all from Diptyque, and the hair dryer is undoubtedly Dyson. The skin feel of the gradient blue-green bathrobe is also very comfortable. It is both beautiful and comfortable to wear, so I don't need to bring my own pajamas. I really like this fashion brand under a luxury hotel because they have both the service and style of an old brand and new designs. Generally, luxury hotels are not good at intelligence, which is understandable because the cost of upgrading is too high, so they can only maintain the status quo for the time being. Therefore, I am committed to experiencing new brands, but Hotel Indigo has achieved both.
