It is one of the central locations in Taiwan for holding annual memorial ceremonies. The total area of the Taichung Martyrs' Shrine is 6,186 ping, with a building area of 620 ping. The entire complex includes the following architectural elements: a paifang (located on Lixing Road), the mountain gate, the front hall, two hexagonal pavilions, a fish pond, the main hall, and the Jingzhong Gate.
