A Japanese tea shop hidden next to Bihu Park: Pearl Fruit Tea House

The teahouse #珍珠果吃茶屋 in the alley of Taipei's Bihu Park is an old Japanese-style house with a courtyard. It has a semi-translucent ceiling, wooden grilles and bamboo wall panels, which separate it from the noisy outdoor streets, making it particularly quiet. You can sit or lie on the outdoor wooden couch, enjoy the cool air and eat fruit, which makes you feel like you are in Kyoto. The interior of the house is decorated with wood in the Showa style, and both the furniture and the Japanese tatami are very tasteful. The meals feature Japanese and Western set meals, as well as Japanese tea cakes. The beef and pork mixed hamburger steak was beautifully presented, but the taste was average, not as good as the matcha and cake. The Japanese sweets were more in line with Taiwanese tastes and were not as sweet as those in Japan. The cups and utensils in the store are also very exquisite.
