Taipei, Taiwan｜City hiking routes, great views and great check-ins!

Most people go to Taipei to eat, play and shop. Why not be healthier this time and go hiking? I believe many Hong Kong people know the Elephant Mountain route, so I won’t introduce it this time. The Taipei Battleship Rock route we went to this time is a route recommended by many Taipei locals. In addition to the magnificent view overlooking the entire Taipei Basin, it is also infant-level difficult, and you can reach the top in less than 30 minutes! ▶️ Transportation You can take the MRT to "Bai Li An Station" or "Shi Pai Station" and go up the mountain via Yang Ming Chiao Tung University or Veterans General Hospital. After entering the campus/hospital, just follow the gentle slope up the mountain and you will reach the trailhead in about 15-30 minutes. There is a small tunnel before reaching the trailhead, which looks like a filming location in a Taiwanese movie! Battleship Rock is about 185 meters above sea level and is the southernmost mountain in the Datun volcanic system. Even though you need to keep climbing up, there are no places to rest along the way, but the height difference between the stone steps is not big, it is very gentle to walk, and you can reach the top within 30 minutes. It is suitable for men, women, young and old! After reaching the top, you can have a panoramic view of the entire Taipei Basin. Especially on sunny days, you can see Taipei 101, as well as the skyscrapers and mountains in the distance, clearly. This scenery is definitely a great place to take photos and check in! What you can pay special attention to is that the geological landscape here is very peculiar. The texture of sedimentary rocks appears on the big rocks on the top of the mountain, which is absolutely rare to see! You may think that the position where I took the photo is dangerous, but it is actually just a matter of angle.
