Among Taipei's night markets, Monga is quite high on my list. It's accessible by MRT, so there's no need to worry about parking. Although it has some negative reviews due to its age, it's precisely because of its age that there are many long-standing shops that have stood the test of time. There are plenty of local snacks to choose from. Typically, I come here for oyster omelets, grass jelly, and aiyu jelly. Today, I suddenly craved rice cakes, so I went for it! The oyster fritters are also good; though they don't have many oysters, they're crispy and delicious. Then, I had some fermented rice balls with peanut and sesame fillings, which are unbeatable. These two are my favorites. After eating and drinking my fill, I had some fruit and headed home!
