☆ Taipei Secret Place-Yuanming Temple

#100 Ways to Travel Few people know that Yuanming Temple, located on a mountain in Shilin District, holds Dharma assemblies almost every weekend and has an excellent geographical location. From the temple you can overlook the National Palace Museum. There are several trails in the bamboo forest next to the temple that lead to the Grand Hotel, Yangmingshan, and even Keelung. You can also take a shortcut and walk to the Palace Museum in just 10 minutes, which is faster than driving! During the day, I worshipped the Three Treasures Buddha in the temple and could hear the chirping of insects and birds from time to time. In the courtyard, I photographed a Taiwan Blue Magpie drinking water in a lotus pot and resting on a treetop. Afterwards, we took a walk in the nearby bamboo forest. It was very quiet and the air was fresh. There were two puppies to keep us company. This secret place can really be compared to foreign attractions. There are charming sunsets in the evening and beautiful night views at night. If you are hungry, you can go to the nearby Shilin Night Market for a midnight snack. It is really remarkable!
