A Super Healing Hot Spring Train Trip in Taipei

Living in Taipei for so many years, I can't believe it's my first time discovering how adorable the MRT carriages at Xinbeitou Station are! As soon as I stepped into the carriage, I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was a themed train. Each of the three carriages has a different style and color scheme, cleverly incorporating Beitou's hot spring culture, making the short ride incredibly fun. This MRT branch line, with only one stop, runs from Beitou Station to Xinbeitou Station. Though the ride is short, it feels like a little time travel. The red carriage has the most historical feel, with a large screen inside playing old scenes of Beitou's hot spring streets, making you feel like you've traveled back to the era when the hot spring industry was thriving. The green carriage is themed around the Thermal Valley, filled with lush greenery, making the entire carriage feel like it's full of phytoncides. But my favorite is the brown carriage! The design is inspired by the hot spring bathing scene, with warm wooden barrel tones and cleverly coordinated chair colors, giving the entire carriage a retro and warm Japanese bathhouse feel. It's really adorable! If you haven't taken this super cute MRT train yet, I highly recommend experiencing it!
