Coppii Lumii Living Coffee (City Center Branch)

This is Coppii Lumii Living Coffee (City Center Branch), a highly popular spot. It's crowded and noisy, but the food is great, which explains its booming business. This time, I ordered the "Picnic Basket" RenRen Big Breakfast for $288 (includes a drink). I was mainly drawn to the caramelized grapefruit, and it turned out to be amazing—sweet and tangy with a hint of charred flavor. After finishing it, I felt like ordering a whole grapefruit. The accompanying yogurt is the sour type, so if you're not a fan of sour flavors, I recommend choosing a different set. In terms of value for money, this is much better than the "Good Morning Small Plate." The price is similar, but the portion size is doubled, making it perfect for arriving hungry. You can also upgrade your drink; I chose the "Reader's Delight" for an additional $108. The juice was delicious, and the carrot flavor wasn't overpowering. The pancake options are a highlight. We ordered the Cinnamon Thick Pancake (not a cinnamon roll). The exterior is coated with sugar crystals, giving it a dense texture. When drizzled with rich cinnamon sauce, the aroma is incredible. It's quite sweet but not overwhelming—perfect for those with a sweet tooth. The Cinnamon Sugar Snail Roll ($108) is a dessert and one of their signature items. The cinnamon flavor pairs wonderfully with butter, but it's very sweet, so sharing is recommended. The Onion Beef Salad (Caesar Dressing) ($298) has a generous portion, but the beef was just average. The Black Truffle Golden Fries ($138) were crispy but lacked a strong truffle flavor, leaving them a bit underwhelming. Overall, this brunch spot is quite impressive for Taipei. The prices are reasonable, portions are substantial, and the environment doesn't impose time limits, which is a big plus. However, weekends are extremely crowded, so it's best to send someone ahead to get a number and explore nearby while waiting. They call numbers in batches based on group size. Although the turnover rate is quick, expect to wait about half an hour during peak dining hours.
