This section of the Taipei Grand Trail (Segment 5) spans approximately 2.3 kilometers from the "Old Place Viewing Platform" to the "Wenjian Mountain Triangulation Point," passing through parts of roadways and pristine forests, offering a varied and engaging environment. Starting from the trailhead opposite the "Tongxin Rice Noodle Rest Stop," you can reach the summit in about 5 minutes. While the peak itself lacks expansive views, the scenic spots along the way offer tranquil vistas of Xinyi District, the National Palace Museum, Soochow University, and Waishuangxi, making for a serene and pleasant experience. Some sections of the trail retain their original ruggedness and can become muddy and slippery after rain. It's recommended to wear anti-slip shoes and bring trekking poles.
