The Renaissance Taipei Shihlin Hotel feels like a modern art gallery nestled in the mountains, with its high-floor infinity pool resembling an oasis suspended in the sky. As I leaned against the pool's edge and gazed into the distance, the lush greenery of Yangmingshan and the city's skyline merged in the rippling water, as if the entire city of Taipei had slowed its pace. In the early morning, a blend of mist and sunlight casts a silvery glow on the water's surface; by afternoon, sunlight bathes the poolside, and the swaying greenery creates a serene scene that makes you almost forget you're in the heart of the city. This place not only offers expansive views but also exudes a secluded tranquility, making it perfect for travelers seeking a moment of escape and self-reflection. A brief swim here added an unforgettable touch to my Taipei journey.
