Solo Trip to Taipei: Michelin-Awarded Noodles!

Introducing "Shuang Yue Food Store," a must-visit popular restaurant in Taipei known for its exquisite mixed noodles! ⭐️Review I arrived before the opening hours, but there was already a queue. I took a number ticket and sat at an outdoor seat. The staff were very kind, providing a Japanese menu and even serving complimentary burdock tea. Inside the restaurant, I was seated at a single-person spot by the wall. I ordered clam and chicken soup, chili black vinegar noodles, oil rice, and baby bok choy. The oil rice and bok choy arrived first, and their portions were just right. However, when the noodles came, I realized I had ordered way too much—clearly a mistake on my part! 😂 Personally, the oil rice was average; I feel there are better options elsewhere. The bok choy was light and not overly seasoned, making it a perfect palate cleanser. The noodles were overwhelmingly delicious! Cooked to the perfect firmness, they were coated in a mildly spicy sesame sauce. I didn’t find them spicy at all, but the Japanese person next to me said they were, so spice tolerance might vary. The soup arrived last and was incredibly generous in portion! Packed with chicken and clams, it was overflowing with ingredients. The broth itself had a gentle flavor that truly showcased the natural essence of the ingredients—a nourishing dish indeed. For me, the noodles were the highlight!
