Qingyun Temple

Qingyun Temple, located in Qingyanpu, Taixing City, Jiangsu Province, was built in the second year of Xianping reign of Emperor Zhenzong of the Northern Song Dynasty, which was in 999 AD, and has a history of more than 1,000 years. In 1986, Qingyun Temple was restored and rebuilt on the site of its lower temple, Baolian Temple, and was opened to the public in 1990 with the approval of the provincial government. The Falun Ancient Pagoda was first built during the Shunzhi period of the Qing Dynasty and rebuilt in the second year of the Kangxi period (1663 AD). At that time, it was located in Baolian Temple, the lower courtyard of the former Qingyun Temple. Later, Baolian Temple was destroyed, and only the pagoda remained.
