Takachiho Gorge with a stunning canyon view

Taking advantage of the sunny weather, we drove from Kumamoto to Miyazaki. An hour's drive took us to the Takachiho Gorge Third Bridge Parking Lot (free). From the entrance, walk down the downhill stairs for about 20 minutes to reach the trail. The trails on both sides of Takachiho Gorge are not long. Walk slowly while enjoying the scenery on both sides. In about half an hour, you can see the classic boats shuttling through the waterfalls at the viewing platform along the coast. Although we didn't make an appointment for boating, the canyon scenery against the blue sky and green water is definitely worth a visit. #2月好去地方2025
