A5 Wagyu Beef Yakiniku at Tanjung Tokong, Penang

#summervacay During our latest trip to Penang, we dropped by Niku No Daigo in Tanjung Tokong recently — a cozy yakiniku spot that serves Halal A5 wagyu beef all the way from Kyoto. The star here is definitely the yakiniku, featuring various wagyu cuts like Kainomi, Zabuton, Ichibo, and more — with options from different premium grades such as Awa and Omi. Other than beef, they also have other options like seafood, chicken, and vegetables if you’re in the mood to mix things up. I had fun grilling my own ingredients here, and what I appreciated most was that my clothes didn’t end up smelling like smoke after the meal. One dish I really enjoyed was the Gyusuji Nikomi (Japanese beef tendon stew).
