Yamagata Prefecture is surrounded by mountains, offering lush green views no matter where you are. Among its attractions, Tendo Park in Tendo City stands out, allowing visitors to take in the scenery from its pond and observation deck within the park. Although it was a slightly hot day, I enjoyed strolling around while taking breaks on shaded benches. The park features well-maintained walking paths, making it perfect for a leisurely stroll on sunny days. Climbing the stairs leading to the observation deck reveals stunning autumn foliage, a barbecue area, and even a venue for human shogi matches.
