Panshan Scenic Area

Panshan Scenic Area is located in Lianhualing Village, Guanzhuang Town, Jizhou District, Tianjin. It is a national 5A scenic area. Panshan is famous for its beautiful natural scenery and rich cultural heritage. It is known as the "First Mountain East of Beijing" because it is located to the east of Beijing. Panshan was formerly known as Wuzhong, Xuwu, Sizheng, and Panlong. According to legend, at the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, Wuzhong scholar Tian Chou refused to accept the title of Emperor Xian and lived in seclusion here. Therefore, it was called Tianpanshan, or Panshan for short. Panshan Scenic Area is famous for its "Three Panoramas," "Five Peaks," and "Eight Stones," as well as ancient buildings such as Tiancheng Temple, Wansong Temple, Yunzhang Temple, and the Sarira Pagoda. The main peak, Guayue Peak, is 864 meters above sea level. "If I had known about Panshan, I wouldn't have gone to Jiangnan" is Emperor Qianlong's praise for the beautiful scenery of Panshan. Standing on the main peak "Guayue Peak," you can enjoy a 360-degree view of the surrounding area. It is very beautiful.
