📍Bunk'Art1 Rruga Fadil Deliu, Tiranë 1001 Albania There are two famous museums in the city called BunkArt, which are used to learn about the history of Albania. The second one is located in the city center and is a museum in an actual bunker. The first one is a little far away, but can be easily accessed by the very frequent city bus to Porcelan. The entrance fee for both is 700 lek (as of February 2024). Albania is a country that has struggled to gain independence, having been dominated by Italy and Germany, being tormented by powerful countries, and being closed off to the outside world. Although they are not often seen in the capital Tirana, "bunkers" (pillowcases in Russian) with semicircular mushroom-shaped heads still remain in various parts of the country. The initial plan was for 221,143 bunkers, but the final figure was 173,371, which still works out to one for every 11 residents. Many of the structures are nuclear-proof, so they are still indestructible. Bunk'Art1 is a museum that uses underground tunnels for military purposes that were installed when the government visited North Korea. It has 106 rooms and can even hold special parliamentary sessions.
