[Tokyo/Horinji Temple] A photogenic spot in Waseda

Horin-ji Temple was founded by the monk Nichiken in 1669. Its official name is "Mannen-san Horin-ji Temple." It is very close to Waseda University and just a stone's throw from Ana Hachiman-gu Shrine, known for its "Ichiyou Raifu" (return of the sun). It is located on a small hill at the top of a flight of stone steps. Horin-ji Temple became popular overnight because of its beautiful flower water basin and its carefully selected temple seals.
