Kyu-Shiba-rikyu Gardens

#thingstodo Gorgeous example of an Edo period clan garden. It was originally part of Tokyo Bay with beach access (there is still a plaque commemorating the emperor gazing into the Bay). The park is fairly large at about 10 ⅓ acres, with almost an acre of that consumed by the central pond. You can see carp, egrets and ducks. Entry was ¥150 and you are able to borrow stunning Japanese style umbrellas to ward off the heat.
