Beautiful Tokyo Station

Tokyo Station, with a history dating back to the opening of Japan's railways in Meiji 5 (1872), has prospered since being renamed 'Tokyo Station' in 1914. It has been designated as an important cultural property of the country. The highlights include the red brick station building and the dome-shaped ceiling at the Marunouchi entrance. In particular, my recommendation is the ceiling restored to its original state at the time of construction. The sculptures of eight of the twelve zodiac animals and the eagle reliefs are incredibly cool.
