A hidden gem discovered in Daikanyama, Tokyo

While wandering around Daikanyama, I came across a very nostalgic Japanese courtyard—the old Asakura family residence - 🔹 The Asakura family were landowners in the Daikanyama area, who started off by selling rice. This old house was built in the Taisho era year 8, and still retains its style from that time 🔹 The main building has two floors, both of which are open to visitors. Walking on the wooden floors, the creaking sounds almost transport you through time . From the corridor, you can view the garden, and in the reception room, you can sit down and quietly enjoy the scenery outside the window 🔹 Outside the courtyard is the thoroughly modern Daikanyama, but inside it is very serene.
