[Kawakami Inari Shrine/Tokyo] A shrine with a slightly retro atmosphere

Kawakami Inari Shrine in Chuo Ward, Tokyo 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃 This shrine is said to have been founded in 1628. It was originally located at the Edo Shogunate's boarding point, but when the area was newly developed in 1869, the sacred grounds were moved to this location. In 1873, it became a joint shrine of Kanda Shrine. Due to the war damage in 1945, it was rebuilt in 1988 by volunteers from the local townspeople. This shrine sits quietly in a back alley. The vermilion-painted torii gate and the blue fence and stairs of the building next door give it a retro feel and make a picturesque picture!
