The restaurant I made a reservation for today is #蚁月 on the 31st floor just above Xuxu Garden. They sell the specialty beef intestine hotpot from Kyushu. The price is surprisingly affordable. Dinner is just over NT$400 per person, and you can enjoy the beautiful view from high above. The CP value is higher than the business lunch at Xuxu Garden! Not everyone dares to eat beef intestines, but Yi Yue’s is delicious in color, aroma and taste. It has a cabbage base, a rich milky soup, neatly arranged leeks on top, and thin slices of beef intestines on both sides. The presentation is quite artistic. The beef intestines are rich in fat, the front part melts in your mouth, and the tail part is chewy and bouncy, which breaks the general impression of people about using offal in cooking. It is quite delicious. The only thing is that the soup is a little salty, so I gave you a bowl of white rice and asked you to pour the soup over it, and it instantly became a bowl of tea rice. Usually the beef intestine hotpot is for two people, but to cater to single diners, small portions are also available. There are four flavors: white (miso), silver (salt and black pepper), red (soy sauce), and en (spicy miso). The price per person is around ¥2,000, which is really not too expensive. There are floor-to-ceiling windows in the 30-31 stairwell and the 30th floor of the Tokyo Skytree. You can take the high-speed elevator on the 1st floor to enjoy the high-rise view for free.
