The owner has a unique background, having studied at a confectionery school, trained in French and Italian restaurants, worked in a cafe, and then in an interior shop before becoming an independent cafe owner. The reason the interior is so charming might be related to the owner's experience. A combination of French antiques, German design furniture, Japanese bathhouse baskets and old shelves, along with modern stainless steel fixtures, creates a good mix of different eras and origins. In French culinary schools, salad is taught as an important menu item to learn first. Just by adding a French twist, like Lyon-style or Nice-style, a salad can instantly become a main dish!
