There is a shuttle bus every half hour that takes you directly to Takadanobaba Station, which is only two stops from Shinjuku, saving you a lot of time. There are also many restaurants and drugstores in Takadanobaba, and there are fewer people, so shopping is very comfortable! If you miss the shuttle bus, there are several bus lines near the hotel, and you can easily reach the major shopping areas by checking the schedule. There is a lazy little courtyard next to the hotel, and it takes at most 10 minutes to walk to Waseda Station on the Namboku Line, and there are many convenience stores and restaurants along the way. 🏰 Hotel Style & Decor The hotel is decorated in a typical French court style, which is very grand, but with a slight sense of history, which complements the overall style. The lobby is really gorgeous, and it feels like you are instantly transported back to the elegant European era. The staff is very enthusiastic and polite, and the service at the front desk is meticulous. The hotel has a full range of facilities, and although the gym and swimming pool require a fee, the environment and service are first-class and worth a try. 🛏 Room Experience I recommend choosing a suite, which is about the same price as a regular room, but with more space and a better view. The view from the suite is especially beautiful, especially the rooms facing the courtyard. The room is well-equipped, with toiletries from the British brand AA, a super comfortable bed, and a large bathtub in the bathroom, which is a great way to enjoy a bubble bath. Staying on a high floor gives you a great view of the entire Shinjuku area. 🍽 Nearby Recommendations If you want to eat authentic Japanese ramen, the Tokushima ramen shop across the street is the first choice, open until 3 am, which is perfect for night owls. The 7-11 on the right is also convenient, but there is also a local supermarket next door, which is not only cheap but also has a wide selection of fruits. You can take a walk around Waseda University in the morning, the campus and courtyard are very quiet and comfortable. A little further away is an old hotel called Chinzanso, which has a very famous soba noodle shop, and the lunch set menu is a great value. The hotel's courtyard is also incredibly beautiful💚 Overall, although the RIHGA Royal Hotel Tokyo is a bit off the beaten path, the free shuttle bus and the surrounding transportation make it very convenient.
