Greenery in the center of Tokyo|Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden

After a few days in Tokyo, I realized that I needed a quiet place to relax, so I happened to live near Shinjuku and went to Shinjuku Gyoen, which I had always wanted to visit. Although it was in the city center, once you entered, it was like a change of time and space, and the whole person was relaxed. Address: 11 Fujicho, Naichi, Shinjuku, Tokyo The entrance fee is only 500 yen, which is about HK$25, which is super cheap. The entrance location is obvious, about 5 minutes walk from Shinjuku-sanchome Station, walking past it already feels the aura is different. Shinjuku Gyoen was originally a royal courthouse and is now open to the public. Inside there are Japanese-style gardens, French-style geometric gardens, and large lawns, and greenhouse gardens, which are very mixed but not obtrusive at all. The most amazing thing is that in the spring you can see hundreds of cherry trees, sit on the grass and lay a mat, take a sip of the breeze and have a cup of hot coffee from the convenience store, super healing. My own favorite is its Japanese garden area, which is very quiet, with stone bridges, pools of water, and red leaves dotting it. Taking pictures by the water is really beautiful with a casual shot. If you are tired of walking, you can sit in the small cafe in the park. I ordered a matcha latte, which is not cheap (almost HK$40), but the environment is very comfortable. I walked around inside for probably two hours and didn’t feel bored at all. There are lots of shade trees inside, and it's clean and comfortable. You won't get dizzy from the sun. It feels perfect for a hea alone, or a relaxing walk for two. If you’re tired of walking in Tokyo and don’t want to go to a crowded mall, consider coming here to catch your breath. Whether it’s flower viewing, photos, a walk, or just sitting on the grass and staring, it’s all worth it. For me, who is always chased by work, these few hours of slow life are really precious. #Tokyo Attractions
