Discovered another treasure trove in Kichijoji! L-musee is located next to a button shop. Though the storefront is small, once you step inside, you'll be greeted by walls adorned with vintage buttons—French vintage pearl buttons that sparkle brilliantly, glass beads, and intricately carved brass buttons, each resembling a tiny piece of art. The shop owner is a craft enthusiast who carefully stores special items in velvet boxes: 1920s French enamel buttons, button accessories made from Venetian glass beads, and even bone buttons salvaged from antique clothing! Prices start as low as a few hundred yen, with the most expensive ones still under 1,000 yen. Perfect for sewing onto coats or using as decorative pieces to add a touch of elegance. Make sure to follow the address to find it, as there's no prominent sign at the entrance. Inside, the warm yellow lighting complements the wooden shelves, and the owner softly explains the history of each button as you browse. Note that the shop is closed on Sundays, so plan accordingly. It's also a great idea to visit the neighboring store for a half-day spree of gathering craft materials—truly satisfying!
