Ichiran Ramen, Atre Ueno Yamashitaguchi

I always wanted to try Ichiran Ramen in Japan. This Ichiran branch is conveniently located near Ueno Park and Ameyoko Shopping Street, very easy to find. Luckily there was no queue that day. First, you have to order the Ramen via the machine, get a ticket and go in. Once seated, there is a piece of paper for you to choose the richness of soup, noodle texture, spiciness etc. You may order additional side dishes and toppings or even add on noodles by using another piece of paper on the table (by paying cash). The service was quick. The Ramen was so delicious! I ordered a non-spicy one and was given a separate jar of chili powder. I like to taste the original flavour first and add some spiciness later. I highly recommend adding the Onsen egg and sliced pork, so tender and savory. It was so good!
