Xiaoba Village, Big Story

Xiaoba Village, Yangguang Town, Tonghai County, Yuxi City, Yunnan Province is about 1 hour and 15 minutes' drive from Kunming South Railway Station (the entire journey is on the highway). It is 1,800 meters above sea level. There are 50 households and about 200 people in the village. All the villagers have the surname Yu, and they are descendants of Temujin (it is one of the many gathering places for people with the surname Yu who changed from Tiemujin to Yu). The village has retained the natural layout and style of the houses. The commune canteen was rebuilt from an old ancestral hall. Imprints of different eras and various cultural elements coexist, and the food is very authentic.
