I have been to Tonghua Wanfeng Ski Resort for two snow seasons, and it is definitely Nambaman, the Northeastern ski resort in my heart! It is also located in Jilin, a major ski province. Let’s take a look at its advantages and disadvantages. Of course, in my mind there are only advantages, and all disadvantages can be overcome! The advantages of Tonghua Wanfeng Ski Resort are as follows: 1. Fewer people and better snow: It may be due to the inconvenience of heavy transportation, but there are much fewer people than other old-name ski resorts. In non-peak seasons, two people can always share a ski trail, and they can also ski on the noodle trail in the afternoon. The road is very wide and has a suitable slope. It is said that it was designed by Soviet experts at that time and is friendly to practice. 2 The ski resort is very new: Wanfeng is a ski resort that was just renovated this year (a national tens-billion-dollar project)! Officially opened for the 2122 ski season, its predecessor was the first ski resort in New China, and the ancient chairlift still remains on the left side of the ski resort. Moreover, everything from the ski resort to the supporting hotels is very new. You can rent new boards in the ski equipment hall, with neatly arranged little turtles and white bears! 3. The only urban ski resort in Northeast China: Some people call it the “Little General Mountain in Northeast China”. It’s 15 minutes from the city and 45 minutes from Tonghua Airport. You don’t have to live a life without any entertainment except skiing... and Tonghua city has everything, Wanda, Xintiandi, Watsons, Starbucks, etc., barbecue street, super happy! 4. Affordable price: 220 for a ski pass on weekdays during off-season, 270 on weekends, no ski equipment. I booked the Wuzhou Crown Hotel, and the hotel gave me two ski passes including ski equipment and hot spring steaming, 1k+/night. 5. Complete supporting facilities: There are ski shops, restaurants, Dicos, bars, etc. in the ski resort town. The prices are similar, but Wuzhou is probably a five-star hotel. It has its own ski hall and the breakfast is delicious! The disadvantages of Tonghua Wanfeng Ski Resort are as follows: 1. There are few gondolas and the chairlifts are cold: This was what I was most worried about when I went there, but it’s actually not that scary. The chairlifts have heated seats. If you really feel cold, smooth A rope or E rope is enough (gondola), especially E rope, there are several tunnels that can go back and forth. 2. Transportation is not very convenient: Shanghai and Beijing have direct flights, while others may require transfers or stops. You can also choose to fly to Shenyang or Changchun and drive there for 3 or 3 and a half hours. 3. The scenery is average: it is not as good as Songhua Lake and Beidahu, and there are some houses under construction, but skiing will not be affected. Regarding ski wear, I recommend functional style pullover sweatshirts and detachable snow pants, which are not particularly thick but are very comfortable. nice.
