I prefer this lesser-known and less popular ancient town over Wuzhen

The area is quite large, so it's recommended to stay overnight to better experience the night atmosphere of the ancient town. This time I stayed at the Puyuan Meishang Resort Hotel, which had a very nice environment, and both dinner and breakfast were exquisite.
