Jiaxing｜Puyuan Fashionable Ancient Town

During the Spring Festival in 2024, my family went to Puyuan Fashion Ancient Town in Jiaxing for 3 days and 2 nights (from New Year's Eve to the second day of the New Year). The experience was pretty good and it was suitable for several families to get together to celebrate the New Year. [Purse] We bought the Chinese New Year package, which cost 1,299 yuan per person and included tickets to the ancient town, two nights' accommodation at Mei Shang Resort Hotel, breakfast, a round table for a Chinese New Year dinner, and a buffet dinner. Especially at night, there are iron flower making and long street night banquets. The night cruise with the light beams is also a very special experience. [Two] There are also some small shops in the ancient town where you can go shopping, drink coffee and enjoy a leisurely afternoon. [Three] During the Chinese New Year, there are all kinds of festive decorations, and it feels very lively and full of atmosphere. [Four] Compared to old ancient towns like Wuzhen, there are much fewer people here. Some corners are even deserted and very quiet. [Five] Convenient transportation, about 2 hours by car from Shanghai (during the Spring Festival, there was a little bit of traffic jam) [Six] The hotel room is 55 square meters, very spacious. The standard room we booked has each bed 1.3 meters wide, which is suitable for families with children. It opened in 2023 and the facilities are very new. [HeartBreak] Disadvantages: The New Year's Eve dinner and buffet in the hotel are not very good, especially the buffet, which has few choices and is very messy. You have to fight for the better dishes... (Considering the price of the set meal, it is understandable... A relative mistakenly entered the buffet area that was not for the New Year's Eve set meal, and saw that the dishes and environment were much better)
