I was originally struggling with where to go for the Dragon Boat Festival as I didn't want to squeeze in with the crowds, but in the end I booked a package that included two tickets so I could come and go as I pleased. We arrived at Puyuan at noon and went to eat Xinnan Pot nearby. The taste was really good and the portion was also acceptable. I drove here, and because I don't like multi-story parking lots, I went directly to the ground parking lot, where there are relatively few parking spaces. It is recommended to park in the multi-story parking lot during holidays. It takes about five minutes to walk from the ground parking lot to the visitor center. Check in at the visitor center and enter the park by scanning your face. The package allows you to enter and exit freely before 6 a.m. the next day, and the shuttle bus will take you to the inn for check-in. Accommodation is arranged at Feijiaqiao Inn. The location is a bit far from the tourist center, but the room arranged by the boss is very quiet. There is a Family Mart and a shuttle bus stop next to it, and you can have breakfast downstairs the next day. The inn is big and clean. There are mosquito nets in the drawer in the room. I didn't find it until the last day. I was bitten by several mosquitoes on the first day. I'm really grateful 😭 The disposable supplies in the room are quite complete, and there are welcome fruits, which is a good comment! You will check out at noon the next day. The boss will help you send your luggage to the tourist center, and then you can continue to visit the ancient town. There are many places to visit in the ancient town. Fushan Temple is really nice. It has Tang Dynasty architectural style and there is an 800-year-old ginkgo tree inside. Guandi Temple, Pu Shang Guild Hall and Songyan Street are also worth visiting, as well as traditional items such as intangible cultural heritage bamboo weaving and puppet shows. We came here originally for the Dragon Boat Festival activities, but it rained and many activities didn't take place, which was a bit disappointing. However, the ancient town has a unique flavor on a rainy day, with mist and rain, and the buildings look great in photos. The key is that there are few people! It’s really nice to take photos without crowding with others. Let me complain about the food. Compared with other ancient towns, there are indeed no monotonous snack stalls and hawking sounds here, which is a good thing! But there are indeed few food choices. Pu Gao tastes pretty good, and I like the one with pumpkin filling. In addition, it is rather troublesome to order takeout when staying at the inn. You have to go to the visitor center to pick it up. I didn’t want to run on a rainy day, so I went to the Family Mart next to the inn, but they didn’t have instant noodles! ! But other snacks and drinks are quite complete. The next day at noon, I had lunch at Tongchuan Inn, and it was a disaster! ! The dishes are few and not tasty, please stay away! ! In general, Puyuan Ancient Town is still worth a visit. It is suitable for sisters who want to find a quiet place to relax, and it is also very suitable for taking pictures! Although there are some minor shortcomings, it is better with fewer people and beautiful scenery. Next time when the weather is good, or wait until spring, I must come back to see the flower boat parade! !
